Technology has made the lives of humans a lot easier. For most of us, we consider the modern technology as a necessity and not a luxury.

ICT has been a part of our lives since it was developed. Most of the processes in this planet are operated through ICT and without it, most probably we will be living in an ancient world. 

Communication has been a vital part of man’s life. We communicate to inquire and to inform. During the old days, communication was really difficult. Letters were made with paper and pen, sent through the post office, and received 3 days after written. This system was not really good and so cellular phones were invented for real time messaging.

ICT has developed these cellular phones for real time messaging which means that at the moment you send your message, it will be read by the supposed recipient immediately. This is of great help to people who have urgent concerns to inform other people and people who need urgent responses to their concerns.

Cellular phones are equipped with different applications used to aid their call and text feature.

Nowadays, cellular phones are not just used for SMS, MMS, and calls  but they also have the capability to connect to the internet through Wi-Fi. Phones, specifically the smartphones, can surf the net and connect to social networking sites for easier communication. Since it is handy, it can be brought and used anytime, anywhere.

As a student, these kinds of cellular phones are truly useful especially when technical problems are experienced with bigger devices such as the laptops and computers. Also, when appointments are to be organized at an instant, calls or texts can be done or sent. I experience this a lot when there are group works that we need to do in our house or my other classmate’s house and we need to check on each other about our location, where we are, and how to get to the venue.

Personally, I find cellular phones amazingly good through the years. Imagine, from the black and white phones to colored phones and then now, Wi-Fi ready phones? Amazing! With this feature of phones I easily share my thoughts through social networking sites. Also, I easily connect with my friends and update them on latest happenings and events whether personal or professional.

Cellphones are of great help to us humans. We communicate faster and more efficient because of these cellular phones. But remember that overuse,misuse, and abuse of cellular phones and other products of the modern technology are bad. As they say, too much of everything is bad.
