"Dads
are the most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers,
story-tellers, singers of songs."
-
Pam Brown
When
God gave the best Dads in the world, I was so in front of the line!
If
you compare the number of days I spent with my dad to the number of days I did
not, you would probably say that we do not have quality time for each other.
Yes, we do not have quality time for each other but I know in my heart that we
have quality love for each other.
Going
abroad was the hardest decision my father did since I was born.He probably knew
that it would be a risk to go away when he has a child left, but still he did
it for the best. He went abroad to support all our needs especially when my
sister came.
I
know it's difficult to live our life that way. I never had him during the
important days of my life. It's like the moments I had with him are just a
quarter of my existence in years.
Although
he is far away from me, he does his best to be my refuge whenever there are
hardships. He continues to be my inspiration in studying and proving myself as
a somebody and not just anybody. He is my living challenge to continue working
hard to reach my goals. He is the preacher of the Word making sure every Word
would strike my heart. He is my father 3 hours away.
I don’t know
him that much just because I never had a long encounter with him. I don’t know
when he’s mad or when he’s happy. If you think of it, I am the most ignorant
daughter in the world because I don’t know my dad but I don’t blame him for
that. Because of that, I continue to persevere and make him proud.
