CHOICE

Almost everyone has a cellphone. Almost everyone.

Texting has been necessary these days for better communication. We text to inform. We text to update. We text to inquire. We text to have fun. Texting cannot be taken away from human beings nowadays.

Some critics say that texting is one of the causes of the deteriorating knowledge of people in the English language. As for me, my knowledge in the English language is not deteriorated by texting.

I feel that the effect depends on the cellphone user. Besides, we have a choice if we will use inappropriate shortcuts or use the correct language.

I am not really into texting since I usually use the laptop or the computer when communicating which are easier devices to type thus, being able to complete the spelling of words. For me, texting is a distraction socially and financially. When you text, you are required to load your sim to be able to send messages while in internet, connection is paid per month which I think is a better choice.

A person's skill is developed by choice. Texting is a choice. Texting using shortcuts is a choice. Texting using shortcuts that deteriorate your English skills is a CHOICE.
